Job Description

The Director, Implementations position is responsible for building and managing a highly qualified and experienced team of implementation managers and subject matter experts in the Visa Commercial Solutions products. The team will lead complex implementations of Visa Commercial Solutions products with financial institutions in North America.

The Director will also gain a deep understanding of the Visa Commercial Solutions platform, including the application of the products to address client business needs. The position requires a high level of interaction and collaboration with business and technical leaders across the company.

Essential Functions

  • Manage a team of highly qualified implementation and project management specialists
  • Advise and guide the team to develop skills and ensure high quality implementations following Project Management Methodology best practices and skills
  • Collaborate with business partners across the CS, Product and Technology organizations to ensure alignment and team readiness for new features, and adjustments
  • Gain a deep understanding of VCS products, particularly the reporting product suite. Also deeply understand the end to end implementation process and technical infrastructure for the products
  • Continuously monitor progress of the team against company, organization and employee goals
  • Provide status and project milestone updates via weekly or other progress reporting, and by managing status meetings.
  • Monitor customer feedback, and provide status updates to senior management, and cross functional partners
  • Proactively coordinate with leadership and account relationship teams to manage escalations and resolve issues
  • Manage team project metrics and analytics, with periodic reporting to senior management
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase service quality and/or efficiency
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Client Services staff supporting the VCS products in the Atlanta office

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience in implementation or consulting role in financial services, card payments, B2B/Commercial Card solutions or information services, with at least 8+ years in project management
  • Experience with corporate expense reporting, expense management, corporate travel and virtual payments
  • Proven leadership and experience managing a team of implementation managers, and working in a cross functional organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical resources
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate complex technical concepts or processes into layman's terms
  • Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task under deadlines, organize, and implement complex projects with minimal oversight, and manage customerexpectations
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills and excellent time management, organization, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in using standard MS Office tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience learning and working with complex, integrated platforms
  • Demonstrated understanding of the payment and data processing industries including industry trends and high-level business drivers
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a complex organization to understand business and customer needs, and coordinate with cross functional teams to manage escalations and drive solutions to complex business problems
  • Experience working with financial data, and knowledge in secure communication protocol such as SFTP, FTP/S and HTTPS.
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge in application programing interfaces (APIs) gateways.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,600.00 to 201,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
