The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $118,622-$166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Performs advanced electrical designs involving the use of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo's, Graphics Panels, and other industrial controls related to Material Handling equipment. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex controls engineering problems not covered by existing procedures. Identifies needed resources across engineering teams and with external suppliers and assign tasks across the project team. Monitors and manages project/team performance and ensures KPIs are met. Aligns with line managers about performance, skill set, and availability of project engineering resources. Tracks engineering progress and ensures project is pacing to schedule; align with ME/CE Leads and SAE as needed to report progress. Creates project status reports, financial forecast, and schedule updates. Supports the project manager in risk management and risk mitigation actions by documenting, escalating, and managing project risk; preparing PSR / PVRs. Leads technical reviews and conduct post-mortem with PM to feed continuous improvement. Advises top management and business partners on advanced technical matters.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or closely related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or closely related occupation. Also requires 2 years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical; material handling systems; testing and commissioning electrical and software aspects of conveyor systems; ethernet network design and troubleshooting; control cabinet design; equipment troubleshooting; Profibus Communications; installing and configuring material handling system controller hardware and software; performing controller troubleshooting and implementation of issues resolution; forecasting and tracking project budgets using SAP; using fieldbus protocol conversion and conversion devices; and PLC programming. Approximately 40% travel is required to various unanticipated locations. Pre-employment processing for this position requires drug testing and passing background checks. Located at Dematic Corp.
