Ascend Rehabilitation, LLC is a non-profit, Twin Cities Metro therapy company working with seniors living in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Senior Housing Apartments. If you have a passion for helping people and working with a close-knit team committed to clinical excellence and exceptional customer service, we want to hear from you. We are looking for Speech Language Pathologists who are interested in a casual/on-call employment opportunity working weekends and some shifts during weekdays are available.

Responsibilities: Provides professional speech therapy services using recognized and approved techniques and appropriate judgment to adults with a variety of communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders/disabilities. Assignments may include working with skilled nursing facility patients, senior housing tenants, outpatients, or home care patients.

Qualifications:

Education
: Masters in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent. Must have a Minnesota Department of Health Registration and ASHA Certification. May be a CFY Supervisor

Experience: A minimum of one-year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Experience working with seniors in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Ability to accurately plan and carry out assignments without direct supervision
  • Proven history of good judgment, integrity and consideration to others
  • High level of commitment to compassionate customer service
  • Maintained awareness and sensitivity to client needs, interests, and abilities
