Job Description

At DMU you will make a meaningful contribution to the dynamic future of Medicine and Health Sciences. DMU is seeking a Content Design and Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Creative Director in the Marketing and Communications department, this position is responsible for crafting visually engaging content across various print and digital platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement and support for the university's strategic objectives. This position works closely with campus partners to meet specific marketing needs for external audiences while also spearheading the training and development of communication templates for internal audiences. This position also provides support to the photographer/videographer and the web content and marketing specialist for further digital content needs.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, leveraging earned, owned and paid media to support the university's goals.
  • Design and support the production of all marketing assets, including but not limited to print materials, external publications, advertising campaigns, donor narratives, social media, websites, email campaigns, news media, videos, multimedia presentations and other promotional channels.
  • Coordinate the design and development of multiple projects simultaneously from conception through final product and delivery.
  • Offer visual and marketing support for high-visibility special events and community outreach projects.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in content design and/or marketing or a related role.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain drone certification (e.g., FAA Part 107) for aerial photography/videography tasks.
  • This role will transition to a hybrid model after three months, requiring on-campus presence three times per week.
