The Role:

The Global Brand Manager will join the John Frieda Innovation & Portfolio Strategy team and will be responsible forexecuting key projects relative to Innovation, Strategy, Consumer Learning and managing new product development.

What you will do:

  • Develop product concepts and stories based on consumer insights and consumer and market trends. This will be in close partnership with the local John Frieda Commercial managers.
  • Own Stage Gate process and lead and manage New Product Development or dedicated projects that will be launched in all countries across the AEMEA region. This includes all aspects along the development process executing the concept - including copy, naming, design. This will be in close collaboration with the entire project team including Kaihatsu, RD, Legal & Regulatory, etc.
  • Contribution in the development of the Innovation Masterplan. That requires global analysis on trend, competition and own brand/ product performance,
  • Cost of Good Management, continuously identifying and implementing TCR opportunities - in the lead of a cross function brand within Kao.
  • Manage day to day communication with Regional teams, closely partnering to ensure they have the tools they need for in-market success.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10+ years in similar, relevant work experience
  • Trend & Innovation Management
  • Brand Management experience for Mass market products
  • Brand Management of Beauty Brands
  • International Business experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Great sense for trends and insight and the ability to turn these into relevant and unique stories
  • Strong enthusiasm, energy, flexibility, positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
  • High sensitivity to differences which can exist across markets
  • Strong problem solving and creative solution finding skills
  • Strong experience in leading and influencing at all levels of the organization and across functional areas
  • Excellent presentation skills at all levels of the organization
