Job Description

The Social Media Strategist creates strategy and generates content to highlight our products, services, financial education opportunities, community partnerships, and other organizational initiatives across various social media platforms. This position also monitors Veridian's brand in the digital space and is the champion for social media best practices.

  • Create excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand.
  • Formulate tactics to foster increased social medial engagement and amplify audience interaction across digital platforms.
  • Plan, lead, execute, and monitor paid and organic digital/social media campaigns and educational presentations across digital networks/technologies to support organizational promotions and efforts.
  • Responsible for photo/video imagery and editing to aid in the engagement of Veridian campaigns.
  • Oversee a social media content schedule across multiple platforms, organizing and arranging posts ahead of time.
  • Generate, oversee, and distribute original and high quality content across diverse social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the Veridian brand.
  • Track and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) on social media platforms, including brand mentions, audience expansion, engagement rates, reach, and more. Utilize these metrics to refine strategies and enhance performance further.
  • Monitor Veridian's brand in the digital space and respond to users across social media platforms to maintain a positive brand image.
  • Set and champion standards for social media best practices.
  • Stay informed about new and emerging trends in social media to ensure our online presence remains current and engaging.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Web Development and other resources regularly to produce graphic layouts, images and multimedia for digital media and to ensure consistency amongst advertising media.
  • Manage location listings on search engines to ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute positively to team effort by consistently achieving established goals and expectations.
  • Participate in credit union events to capture the essence of Veridian's culture and values, to utilize for potential marketing and informative content on social media platforms.
