Salary Rate: $60,000-$65,000

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The JAG Manager is responsible for overseeing the development of programs that support an organization's main objectives. Manages a team of JAG Specialist and provides support to ensure program quality.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of effective, integrated management systems and organizational structures which support the administration of program services. Serve as liaison between program leadership, staff and community collaborators. Explains and interprets regulations, policies, and procedures for staff.
  • Monitor effectiveness of operations, program progress and adherence to compliance through observation, data analysis, record reviews, interviews and other methods. Recommends and implements improvements.
  • Design new programs and improves processes in existing programs, which may include but not limited to reviewing and revising program policies and guidelines; providing input to the development of program training plans.
  • Perform daily supervision of assigned JAG staff and their workloads/schedules, including working in concert with the Area Manager on the hiring, firing, discipline, and performance management of those staff under their direction. Direct/delegate staff responsibilities to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
  • Work in concert with the Area Manager to plan and implement regional programs and events for participants and staff.
  • Lead staff meetings and enact strategies to promote team development.
  • Interface and develop intentional relationships with school administration to promote recruitment, enrollment, and overall success of the JAG program.
  • Provide in classroom coverage for the JAG Specialist as needed in the classroom when other front-line initiatives are exhausted; assist JAG Specialists in providing case management services, guidance, support, tutoring, and referral to other community partners when appropriate, to ensure students stay in high school and complete graduation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Related Bachelor's degree required, from an accredited College or University.
  • Past experience working with the targeted population. 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Must have the ability to efficiently manage a large participant caseload (Active and Follow-up) in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain a leadership role with the students to motivate and influence positive behaviors. Knowledge and or experience with classroom management techniques.
  • Must have appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
