Job Description
Inserso Corporation, a fast-growing 500+ person company, is looking for a driven leader to join our senior leadership team! You will manage and grow our Business Development and Capture organization as a player/coach to identify, qualify, capture, and bid unrestricted prime contracts/Task Orders across all of Inserto's target customers, including DHS, DOJ, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Army, and other customers. You will provide strategic input on Inserto's overall business development plan as well as tactical hands-on leadership for individual opportunities. You will support proposal and business development teams by building and leading our pipeline of opportunities, creating and vetting win strategies, reviewing proposal content, and supporting other activities as needed.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Build and manage the Pipeline by identifying and qualifying opportunities that align with our corporate strategy within our target customers.
  • Conduct and manage the Gate Review process for all opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day business development activities across the team.
  • Run weekly pipeline meetings and provide business development updates on other operational meetings.
  • Hire and manage business development and capture personnel.
  • Coach and mentor business development and capture teams to complete the necessary activities to increase PWin.
  • Support capture managers and business development staff in developing win themes, win strategies, value propositions, and differentiators.
  • Perform business development and capture activities as needed to support a healthy pipeline.
  • Work closely with the solution and proposal development organization to formulate compelling management and technical solutions and winning proposals.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and partner community supporting the customer to assemble competitive teams to win specific opportunities.
  • Support teaming strategies and recruit industry partners to increase PWin for opportunities.
  • Manage Inserso's representation at customer-related industry events, including, exhibits/tradeshows, conferences, and other information exchange meetings.
  • Collaborate with the service delivery team on contract performance and customer feedback.
  • Periodic travel to meet with customers and attend events.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 15 years of experience in IT Services or related field for federal government customers.
  • 8 years of experience successfully developing and capturing federal business as a prime contractor.
  • 3 years of experience managing business development and capture personnel.
  • Proven track record of winning large prime contracts of at least $100M.
  • Proven experience to build and manage business development teams.
  • Driven to continually learn emerging technologies, management frameworks, and industry best-practices.
  • Self-starter, disciplined, and driven to succeed with proven outcomes.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain Top-Secret Clearance.
