SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to leading a world class customer service focused operation and delivering overall business results while driving process of continuous improvement for assigned operational area(s) through the supply chain (from planning to distribution). Engages directly with business teams, and establishes strong relationships to foster an exceptional, aligned operational business plan to achieve manufacturing performance goals, and ultimately customer experience. Leads and inspires the plant leadership team, driving leadership performance and accountability while driving an inclusive and engaging culture for all our employees. Models agility and leads strategically as business, customer or team needs evolve and change.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Lead operations of a premium custom window, door and specialty product business unit. Including responsibility of key functional areas, direct or indirect (Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Lean Sigma, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources, IT, RDI, and Distribution).

*Deliver agreed results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement. Develop and execute action plans for sustainment or improvement in all key metrics areas.

*Develop and implement plans to provide process improvement in key areas defined above. Value stream improvement initiatives will be aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles and the manufacturing strategic plan and corporate initiatives.

*Lead and develop talent on leadership team, by mentoring, coaching, providing feedback, career development, and performance management.

*Develop a strategy and ensure alignment of activities/metrics and resources within the business team and functional areas. Ensure cross-organization collaboration and employee involvement.

*Responsible for implementing strategies to foster a customer-focused, high performing, strategically aligned business.

*Cultivate a culture of development, accountability, continuous improvement, and growth-mindset that enables our commitment to excellence.

*Actively champion DEI values and commitment to inclusion in our workplace.

*Responsible for establishing high standards of business performance along with establishing budgets, metrics and appropriate OKR's to deliver performance to plan.

*Support new processes, product development and implementation to ensure the business is meeting customer expectations.

*Maintain a highly visible nature to employees at all levels and create a safe environment for employee engagement. Promote active/servant leadership to solve problems and promote high involvement approaches to problem solving.

*Is an Andersen brand ambassador championing active community engagement.

*Other duties as assigned.

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:

Provide direct or indirect leadership and direction to Value Stream Manager(s), Value Stream Supervisors, Team Leads, Line Trainers, Safety, Quality, Lean Sigma, Supply Chain, EHS, Maintenance, Finance, Human Resources, Distribution, and CERT teams.

Must be highly effective in a matrixed organization to ensure alignment and collaboration across all business functions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field.
*Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project.
*Minimum of eight to ten years of prior work experience as a manufacturing leader in a complex, made to order manufacturing environment.
*Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment.
*Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, retain, and manage performance of leadership talent/teams.
*Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
*Ability to balance leader decisiveness and laying out a plan, to when team-based approach to decision making serves.
*Strong servant leadership aptitude.
*Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
