Job Description:

The overall responsibility of the Facilities & Security Manager is to provide leadership and direction to ensure the security and safety of the personnel, facility and product at Jubilant HollisterStier. Reporting directly to the A.D. Facilities, this position is responsible for the development and enforcement of policies and procedures, ensuring flawless operation of all site facilities and security systems. The position manages the work and scheduling of direct and contracted staff. This position implements and manages regulated programs and coordinates and performs identified risk investigations with all departments to complete facility/security related investigations or address / resolve identified facility/security issues.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Directs departmental programs and activities to maintain and continuously improve quality of the facility and security standards throughout the Jubilant HollisterStier site.
  • Develops and enforces procedures and policies to ensure the security and safety of the site and personnel working within the facility.
  • Subject matter expert on all security monitoring and access control systems throughout the facility promptly resolving any issues directly or with the help of our third party service providers.
  • Ensures that all training of employees and contractors is complete.
  • Performs risk assessments, business continuity planning and crisis management planning and preparation.
  • Works directly with all Department Management groups and Human Resources on Facility and Security related issues to address Facility and Security concerns or issues.
  • Responds to incidents and emergencies as needed to ensure safety of employees and provide appropriate emergency response.
  • Inspect and adjust fire, security/surveillance systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure proper operation.
  • Manage Card Access Systems and issue badge access.
  • Manages the pest control program to ensure that it is incompliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Manages the landscaping/snow removal and solid waste contractors.
  • Contacts and manages other facility contractors as needed to facilitate cleaning, maintenance and proper operations of the facilities.
  • Manages the janitorial team.
  • Ensure sewage, trash and other refuse is disposed of in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Ensure that the site is cleaned and maintained in a good state of repair.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Criminal Justice degree preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • 8-10 years' of related experience managing/supervising and/or training in an applicable position in a campus environment, manufacturing facility, or related industry.
  • Related experience and/or training in a Pharmaceutical environment preferred.

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge and skills in the development, management and enforcement of security policies and procedures necessary for maintaining the security of a pharmaceutical manufacturing campus.
  • Ability to schedule and oversee the work of others within the department and third party service providers.
  • Able to define problems, prioritize, collect data, establish facts and build solid business cases to move the business forward.
  • Ability to write effective reports and business correspondence.
  • Must be available to be on-call when coverage is needed or issues arise.
  • Must be a self-starter who requires minimal direct supervision.

Communication Skills

  • Must have strong customer service skills.

Reasoning Ability

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure, respect and professionalism during security issues / events.
  • Must maintain high degree of confidentiality.

Leadership

  • Ability to lead and direct others for the completion of assigned tasks for a specific area of operation to accomplish organizational goals.

Shift: Day

Compensation:

  • The salaryrangefor this position is $67,343 - $107,250 depending on experience.
