Job Description
The Maintenance & Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing and improving upon the productivity of the maintenance shop and employee team. They delegate work assignments and ensure inventory for repairs and daily functions are available and well stocked. The Maintenance & Facilities Manager also plans for routine and emergency maintenance requests to ensure their timely completion within safety standards.

Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of the maintenance shop and team by overseeing the repair and maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain inventory of machinery parts and inventory logs
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment failures.
  • Analyze proper operating protocol and performance to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Quickly assess problems and implement strategic resolutions.
  • Keep the maintenance team well informed on updated on procedural changes.
  • Communicate with team to prioritize projects and ensure readiness to respond to emergency situations.
  • Drive completion of routine maintenance
Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have at least five years maintenance managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have strong leadership skills as demonstrated by effective communication, dedication to process improvement and team development in support of operation productivity.
  • Experience with manufacturing software systems such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Exposure to systems controls such as ISO 140001
  • Good problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Able to work independently and within a team.

  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as required.
  • Be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to office and manufacturing plant environments. The use of personal protective equipment including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required in designated areas. Manufacturing areas may be affected by outside temperatures and machining.
