Details | The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation's Histology Lab (located on the Oakdale Research Campus in Coralville) is looking for student research assistants to assist with various tasks in within the lab. This position is for up 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week in the summer. Must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle, Cambus, or other form of transportation). Duties for the position include: Cleaning laboratory area/equipment and washing or sterilizing instruments/laundry and glassware used in a histology service center. Receiving, unpacking, and storing mail, freight, biological specimens, or environmental samples to be used in a histology service center. Running errands such as delivering experimental samples or cleaned equipment to proper location. Assembling completed histology microscope slides for whole slide scanning and upload to server. Assist with other non-technical duties as assigned by management in support of the goals of the histology service center.
