We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Branch Manager and Ag Loan Officer in Union, Iowa. This role involves overseeing branch operations, serving as an agricultural lender, managing staff, nurturing community connections, making credit decisions, managing loan portfolios, and driving new business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert financial advice and assistance.
  • Manage branch operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, farmers, and community organizations.
  • Assess creditworthiness and make informed credit decisions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Originate, underwrite, and administer agricultural loans, including real estate, operating, and equipment loans.
  • Monitor and manage loan portfolios to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with lending regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and actively pursue new lending and deposit relationships.
  • Lead and mentor branch staff to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee and coordinate building maintenance items as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, with a focus on Ag lending.
  • Experience in agricultural lending and familiarity with rural markets and industries.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
