Leidos is currently looking to add a Senior Software Engineer (SWE-3) to a task that supports maintenance and enhancement of a critical legacy system. The SWE will work closely with a team of software developers, systems engineers, and Subject Matter Experts to refine, maintain, and reverse engineering existing legacy code written in C and JCL. In this challenging role, the ideal candidate will be update procedural code, troubleshoot procedures that end abnormally, manually modify and process data as need. The SWE will develop automated routines for manual processes where possible. The SWE will participate in various meetings and interface regularly with stakeholders including the customer, SMEs and external teams. The candidate must be a proactive, self-starter.
Primary Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Pay Range:Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
