Staff Pharmacist- Inpatient Pharmacy

Shift: Various shifts Monday-Friday, every 4th weekend rotation

* Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
* Participates in all aspects of TRMC collaborative practice initiatives, including but not limited to formulary substitutions, kinetic dosing and drug dosing per medical staff orders.
* Serves as a member of the Disruptive Person team which provides safe, prompt intervention when an individual is posing a threat or danger to self, others, and/or property.
* Essential duties of Pharmacy Manager in his/her absence.
* Communicate effectively and appropriately
* Assists Pharmacy Manager with training of technicians-in-training and pharmacist interns
* Demonstrates positive customer services skills.
* Plays an active role in antimicrobial stewardship activities, including regular outreach calls with Infectious Disease staff.
* Performs appropriate documentation of interventions, adverse drug reactions, medication errors, and other documentation as required by the Pharmacy Manager and regulation
* Complies with all policies of the UnityPoint Health System, Trinity Regional Medical Center, and the Pharmacy Department.
Education:
B.S. Degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
Experience:
Experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities in hospital Pharmacy preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Current license to practice Pharmacy in the State of Iowa Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
