As the Manager, Environmental Systems, here's the work you'll do:
  • Plan, organize and manage Caretaker Contract with Army, Public Water System, Hazardous and non-Hazardous Plant Waste. Also ensure compliance in relation to Environmental regulations through review of SOPs and FAAT reports. Responsible for answering USG CAR's and following through to completion. Act as the Management Rep for ISO-14001:2015, conduct and manage environmental training, conduct environmental audits, support modernization. Act as the liaison to the USG for all environmental issues or concerns.
  • Responsible for performing work i/a/w the Company's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct and thus functioning as a role model; and evaluating subordinates based on their commitment to the Code.
  • Manage PWS for compliance, manage line inspections for RCRA areas to maintain compliance with IDNR and EPA regulations, daily, weekly, and monthly required reporting to regulatory agencies, and USG.
  • Direct all Environmental programs to assure AO compliance to State, Federal and Army regulatory requirements to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance, and cost competitiveness. Provide leadership to ensure culture of accountability and personal ownership for environmental performance, compliance and pollution reduction and/or elimination.
  • Plan, organize, obtain and maintain the required environmental permits to operate the facility. Lead and continuously improve the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System, through assuring AO operational control, corrective and preventive actions, internal audits, and continual improvement to the environmental system.
  • Assist Modernization with Environmental Efforts and with all environmental requirements.
  • Deliver training, attend client meetings, and serve as the alternate for the EHS Director.
  • Management Rep for ISO 14001:2015 through auditing, and training. Maintain a continuing liaison with customer personnel and regulatory agencies to ensure a positive understanding between the plant locations and their customers relative to Environmental Programs and ISO 14001 Environmental Management system performance.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of the Iowa and Federal Environmental Law and Regulations, and Facility PWS.
  • Knowledge of the Operations of the Hazardous Waste Treatment and Storage Facilities.
  • Knowledge of the Operations of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
  • Knowledge of the Facility Layout and day to day Operations.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • 5 years in an Environmentally related field
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER, Hazardous Waste Management, , Understanding & Application of DOD 4145.26M-2008, Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification (DOT)
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Government Secret Clearance may be required.
  • Great attitude and team player.


In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $84,480 - 126,720. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
