Full-time Benefit Package

Shift: Monday-Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-2

**$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for External Candidates.

New CMA Starting Base Pay $19.72/hr (Commensuratewith experience.)


Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. As a Medical Assistant in our fast-paced Urgent Care facility, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

This role will specifically be trained / will perform Pulmonary Function Testing (PFTs). If you have experience with that testing, that is preferred, but we will train the right candidate!

  • Greet and prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and preparing exam rooms.
  • Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, examinations, and minor surgical interventions.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urinalysis, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) and patient charts.
  • Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.19.72

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
