Elevator Superintendent

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is looking for an Elevator Superintendent for our new facility in David City, NE. This is an excellent role for a strong leader who is interested in a company offering extensive growth opportunities. The Elevator Superintendent is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, grain quality and condition, safety and inventory of the AGP facility.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation of the elevator and grain drying departments including inbound and outbound shipments, quality of product, inventory, safety, and maintenance of equipment.
- Interface with Marketing Group on a regular basis to efficiently schedule shipping and receiving of commodities. Work closely with other facility management teams to coordinate activities.
- Maintain an accurate in-bound bean grading system, effective scale maintenance and inspection schedule to include scheduling inventory teams.
- Maintain records of inbound and outbound shipments and oversee all quality issues associated with product shipments. Assure all samples of products are in compliance with AGP Standards.
- Oversee daily maintenance of locomotive equipment.
- Train and supervise employees through scheduling, providing direction and assisting in the completion of various tasks.
- Write reports, including safety, maintenance, activity, profit/loss, and annual budget reports.

- 5 years' experience in shipping/receiving and warehousing.
- Knowledge of strong supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, training, and motivation of employees.
- Skill in mathematical computation.
- Skill in problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Skill in operating various equipment including DTN systems, scales, grain testing equipment, grain grading equipment, and grain cleaning/drying equipment.
- Skill in operating various office equipment including personal computer, printer, copy machine, facsimile machine, calculator, and telephone.
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
- Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to function effectively as a team player.
