Job Description

Allrecipes is seeking a Social Media Editor to join its team. The ideal candidate loves data, strategy, content creation, and, most importantly, food!

Locations Available: Remote-US, New York City on-site with hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director, Engagement & Audience Development to help execute a social media growth strategy for key platforms to extend the digital reach of the brand, drive engagement plus referral traffic.

  • Write highly engaging copy for daily flat and video posts for various social platforms.

  • Monitor and engage with the brand's followers and community across platforms.

  • Act as the social team project manager by maintaining our cross-platform calendar for social media content.

  • Partner with print, video, and visual teams to develop cross-platform, traffic-driving editorial campaigns.

  • Monitor current social trends and competitors' social media presence to identify new opportunities and leverage best practices.

  • Collaborate with video, visuals, and kitchen teams on original social-first content.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Communications, Marketing, English or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in digital social media for a large brand

  • Strong analytics experience using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other analytics tools

  • Exceptional writing skills, including SEO expertise, with the ability to capture and effectively convey brand voice

  • Strong attention to detail plus hatred of typos

  • Energetic, well-organized, and proactive team player

  • Basic Photoshop, Canva, and CMS skills are preferred

  • Familiarity with social media publishing platforms such as Dash Hudson and True Anthem is a plus

  • Strong knowledge, experience, or interest in food, cooking, and the culinary world is a plus

Pay Range

Salary: $53,500 - $77,520

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
