As a Key Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of IFF by driving revenue, deploying strategies, and serving as a trusted business partner to some of our largest customers. The individual we are seeking will develop, implement & execute a Regional Account Strategy to grow profitable sales and support overall business objectives of the corporation. To be successful in this role you must have 4+ years of experience in a strategic sales function. Experience in micro ingredient, animal nutrition and health, ruminant sales or related industry is highly desirable. As a Key Account Manager - Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health , you will be expected to:

  • Create, present and execute a regional strategic account plan that is aligned with global business objectives.
  • Achieve profitable sales growth targets by winning new business and maintaining current sales; drive for results.
  • Understand customer strategy, organization, and brands.
  • Deeply understand and leverage IFF's strategy, organization, capabilities, proprietary technologies, resources, product and service offerings in the US and Canada
  • Actively investigate and deeply understand customer's needs in cooperation with the technical team to create growth projects according to business strategy
Long Description
  • Position IFF as a strategic trusted partner by co-creating winning value propositions that satisfy customer needs and generate clear and measurable economic benefit for them
  • Be the face of IFF - act as lead contact for customer's business in the region. Develop deep customer relationships at all levels, through intensive networking and by providing best in class customer service.
  • Work closely as a team with the Sales & Technical Managers and engage all IFF Danisco Animal Health & Nutrition personnel to support this customer, leverage the full value of IFF and unlock new opportunities across business units.
  • Lead cross functional and cross-cultural teams through complex, technically challenging projects.
  • Maintain the project pipeline and all information related to the projects, opportunities and sales forecasting.
  • Be accountable for all communications between the customer and internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Technical / R&D and Supply Chain) on order delivery timeline, specifications, and all matters related to legal and quality.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree - preferably Business, Animal Science or another relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 4+years of successful sales experience, preferably in in micro ingredient or animal nutrition or health related industry
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent customer focus; proactive; collaborative; self-motivated and results driven
  • Knowledgeable of industry trends, companies, technology, and displays passion for animal nutrition and health
  • Confident, self-motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic professional with ability to cultivate deep customer relationships and generate trust by delivering on commitments
  • Ability to manage complex customer networks
  • Ability to interact and work with diverse and multi-cultural teams
