Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose

Performs UTSW, UT, MT, PT, VT and other NDT industrial inspections on offshore piping, pressure vessels, and miscellaneous equipment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety policies. Execute work scopes in accordance with client and Oceaneering's guidance and procedures.

Location

  • Travel to client sites, manufacturing facilities and offshore at least 50% of the time.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

  • Perform UT Shear Wave inspections primarily offshore, Gulf of Mexico.
  • Plan the methods and determine the type of NDT equipment required to inspect the structure of materials.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Assisting other technicians.
  • Conduct tests in the NDT methods to the extent certified and qualified in.
  • Prepare, set-up and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Utilize rope access to perform job duties and execute work scopes.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Five years' minimum experience in NDT required.
  • Safe Gulf & HUET Water Survival certifications desired.
  • Certified or be certifiable to Level II UT, MT, PT, VT.
  • Have general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing and inspection technologies used by the employer.
  • Certified or be certifiable to IRATA rope access standards.
