As part of the Media Platforms Center of Excellence, we are shaping the future of how Verizon Value uses media and connections to fuel company growth. This role will partner with the Verizon Value Organization and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to build media plans that drive awareness, demand, engagement ,and ultimately loyal consumption of our Value products and services.

As a member of this fast-paced and energetic team, you will be responsible for shaping the media strategy and driving the execution of key initiatives across brands such as Straight Talk and Tracfone. Reporting to the Manager of Media Strategy & Activation supporting Value Brands, you will partner with a broad & cross-functional set of talented stakeholders, particularly supporting Verizon Value campaigns as well as channel and special project strategies.

  • Leading strategy and media plan development (with media agency) to ensure both ladder into holistic marketing approach to fulfill key initiatives and goals throughout the year.

  • Supporting/coordinating with other media team members on larger, cross brand media and marketing campaigns.

  • Partnering directly with key stakeholders & counterparts in Integrated Marketing, CMI, and Marketing Effectiveness to effectively tie media outcomes to deliver on business objectives.

  • Partnering with media agency and analytics team to report on completed campaigns, apply basic analytical skills to identify any performance highlights and/or trends to inform strategy & tactics for moving forward.

  • Preparing internal presentations to showcase media plans and campaigns to internal Verizon organization.

  • Ensuring effective budget management, including reconciliation and invoice approval across Value campaigns.

  • Partnering with agency on various competitive reports and analyses delivered weekly - quarterly.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or two or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience in consumer marketing or media or media agency.

  • Experience in media strategy planning (on the brand or agency side).

  • Experience in managing media plan budgets and spend shifts.

  • Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency in budget tracking and creating visual presentations.

  • Effective project management, communication and campaign execution skills at varying levels.

  • Ability to understand business strategy and correlate business outcomes to media actions/KPIs.

  • Experience in developing data driven media strategies across multiple channels.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with creative teams for joint, idea-led media plans.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $92,000.00 and $171,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
