Position Summary

A senior role within Oceaneering's Commercial Team supporting the Offshore Projects Group (OPG) and Subsea Robotics (SSR) Business Groups to drive compliance with internal processes, identify and mitigate risks associated with tendering activities and develop the Commercial Team's competencies and ability to deliver the broad range of commercial support the business requires. This role is a key interface between numerous support functions including Operations, Pricing, Sales & Business Development, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Contracts, HSE and QA. This is a leadership role, responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-to-day commercial activities within the department to ensure deadlines are properly met. This role provides Technical / Operational and Leadership input into commercial output for Subsea Robotics - Survey products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

  • Oversee and lead responses in support of Subsea Robotics (SSR) Survey tenders
  • Define bid specific strategy, pricing and commercial terms to achieve desired outcome
  • Adjust pricing and commercial terms during negotiation based on customer feedback
  • Translate scope / schedule / pricing and commercial terms into a concluded contract
  • Execute day to day leadership with Operations / Pricing Manager, commercial team members and Subsea Robotics Management in support of best possible outcome for OII
  • Complete technical and operational requirements for applicable tenders as required
  • Set objectives and provide advice and guidance for Commercial team members pertaining to SSR Survey
  • Ensure compliance with company's policies and procedures regarding tender submissions
  • Review and modify relevant procedures and policies periodically, drive improvements where warranted
  • Review and negotiate contracts from a commercial and technical perspective for SSR Survey as required.
  • Liaise with Operations / Fleet Manager and Equipment Planning Team to ensure the best use and return of companywide assets
  • Attend and input into required Operations and Commercial periodic reviews as required
  • Ensure the accurate and timely use of CRM for SSR Survey opportunities and bid data
  • Provide feedback into market trends and technical / operational requirements to the Product Manager as required
  • Collaborate with all Oceaneering Commercial Leads, to ensure cross Business Segment and Business Group proposals, and bids in general, will result in the best result for the Oceaneering Enterprise
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Offshore survey & positioning and or Geoscience commercial / operational background
  • Previous experience working in a commercial supervisory role
  • Previous experience supporting the commercial lifecycle for survey & positioning and or Geoscience services and product sales
  • Minimum 5 Years relevant experience in offshore Survey services related commercial activities within the full life cycle of the tender process and the preparation of quotes ect, start to finish.

DESIRED

  • BSC/HND/Business related qualification or equivalent .
  • Broad knowledge and experience of OII Subsea Robotics Survey product & service lines.
  • Minimum of 4 years oilfield related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Prepare professional responses to requests for tenders - Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a heavy workload within a team environment to meet due dates and client expectations
  • Ability to communicate (both written and verbally) at a high-quality level in Portuguese and or Spanish will be taken into consideration
