Calabrio Platform is an integral mixture of tools, services, and infrastructure that supports the Calabrio One product. The Platform group leverages a wide variety of technologies and processes to specifically meet the needs of other product development teams.

As a Software Engineer Intern with the Platform group you'll work closely with the Platform teams, and other product development teams, to support and improve the innerworkings of Calabrio's sophisticated suite of interconnected products.

What you'll be doing:

• Working closely with R&D, architecture, and product management to build and release software to production
  • Attending and contributing to software design sessions
  • Writing and reviewing code and tests for production
  • Learning and practicing modern, iterative software development methods
  • Researching and resolving defects
  • Shadowing senior engineers and business stakeholders
• Growing expertise with software platform components, their complex interconnectivity, and the role that Platform plays in support of other product development efforts
• Building constructive and collaborative relationships with other Calabrio teams
• Exploring cloud-native services to accelerate and support highly available, scalable software
• Other duties, as assigned

We're looking for:

• Experience developing software or building applications
• Strong interest in software engineering with contributions to public software projects
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Knowledgeable in version control (Git) and debugging techniques
• Comfort working in team environments with deadlines

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a bachelor's program or have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science
• Prior coursework or projects in an Object-Oriented programming language
• Preferred junior or senior standing
• Knowledgeable in at least one primary programming language used in Calabrio development such as JavaScript or Java
