Your Opportunity

Oversees and coordinates a team of specialists who are involved in setting expectations in all aspects of production and business relations to producers. Evaluates producer performance using the company's standardized evaluation form.

Core Responsibilities
    Communicate and enforce expectations based on contractual obligations and regulations to producers.
  • Supervise, develop and coordinate a team of Specialists.
  • Evaluate producers using company's standardized evaluation forms.
  • Create strategies and bring a level of understanding with producers to elevate their abilities in production.
  • Accountable for reporting to Production Director on all aspects of the team and producer developments.
  • Be able to navigate data to explore areas of influence.
  • Responsible for being in compliance with all environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield, dba Murphy Brown LLC subscribes.
  • Report all environmental issues immediately to their supervisor.
  • Read and understand the company's emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their work site.
  • Responsible for being in compliance with all animal welfare laws and procedures to which Smithfield, dba Murphy-Brown LLC subscribes.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with company EMS policies and procedures in the performance of their job duties.
  • Responsible for understanding all safety requirements of the job and for performing the job in compliance with the safety requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned necessary for the care of in the swine and/or the swine facility.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of swine production experience and leadership experience.
  • Current and valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
  • Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and Apps such as Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
  • Must be available for domestic travel, which may include overnight stays.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise, develop and coordinate a team of Specialists.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Must be able to walk an average of 2 - 4 miles per day, occasionally up to 5 or 6.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs on a limited basis.
  • Must be able to operate a high pressure washing system.
  • Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment.
